The SWR was generally from 1.1 to 1.3.

Unless these readings are all taken into a 1:1 SWR on all the bands, they
are rather meaningless. Forward power can be much greater than 100 watts in
certain load impedances.

Subject: interesting power readings

Well, I believe I'd mentioned that Santa brought me an Elecraft W2 watt
meter. I took some power readings from the Flex 6300 and TS-590, both set
on 100 watt output, and here they are. They're not 100 watts by any
stretch. What's interesting is that they're more or less equal.

I took the measurements in the CW bands only, since that's where I operate
mostly. Note these are when sending a solid carrier, key down in CW mode.
I am using the utility available from Elecraft to read the meter. It is
accessible using the JAWS or invisible cursor.

radio: band-power band-power ...
flex: 10m-72 12m-75 15m-76 17m-80 20m-77 30m-81 40m-86 80m-81
ts-590: 10m-75 12m-79 15m-72 17m-76 20m-78 30m-79 40m-78 80m-73

I'd be interested in what other folks see with their 100 watt radios.
