Yes, it is strictly an audible device. Connects between your transceiver
and your tuner, has only an on/off switch and is powered by an external DC
source or an internal 9 volt battery.

This is the MFJ 212 MatchMaker actually it is not the MFJ NoiseBridge as
that is a different product.

You can down load the manual from MFJ as a .PDF or read below.

MFJ also sells the Vectronics Brand of the same item, Model: VEC-512 Tuner,
Tuner Aid.

Price for either, $100.

Manual follows:

MFJ-212 MatchMakerT

Introduction

This new MFJ-212 MatchMakerT lets you tune up your antenna tuner without

transmitting a single milliwatt! You can't cause QRM - there's no radiated
power.

You can precisely tune your antenna tuner for a 1:1 SWR - no additional

"tweaking" needed.

Protect your transceiver and antenna tuner. Avoid dangerous overheating and

arcing caused by high SWR and long tune-ups. It's easy to use. Plugs between

your transceiver and antenna tuner.

Adjust your tuner for a null in receiver noise by ear or by S-meter and you
have

1:1 SWR!

Tuning noise is modulated to make it easy to recognize.

And if you accidentally transmit, you won't burn up your MFJ-212

MatchMakerT. MFJ's exclusive RF*GuardT automatically bypasses your MFJ-

212 to prevent damage. Works with all transceivers from 160 through 6
meters.

Installation and Operation

The MFJ-212 Match MakerTM connects between your transceiver and antenna

tuner. A 12 Vdc, 300 mA power supply such as the MFJ-1312B should be used

to provide a proper power source for the MFJ-212 Match Maker.TM .Use a

standard 2.1 mm coaxial plug with the center being positive and the sleeve
being

ground. Ensure that the POWER switch on the front panel is in the OFF
position

(out), then connect the power supply to the POWER jack on the rear panel.

Note: The MFJ-212 may also be powered by a 9V alkaline battery. to access

the battery connector, ensure the POWER switch on the front panel is in

the OFF position (out), remove the screw on each side of the MFJ-212 and

remove the cover. Be sure to replace the cover before operating the

unit!

Connect the Antenna out jack on your transceiver to the TRANS jack and

antenna tuner to the ANT jack of the MFJ-212. Apply power to your
transceiver

and tune to the desired frequency. Next, apply power to the MFJ-212 by

pressing the POWER switch in. The PWR LED on the front panel of the MFJ-212

should begin flashing and you should hear a pulsing "white noise" from your

receiver. Adjust your tuner for a null in receiver noise by ear or by
S-meter and

you have 1:1 SWR! Your antenna is now matched to your transceiver!

Remember to turn the power to the MFJ-212 OFF before using your transceiver.
