Well, I had that same problem with the BC245 and you have to press your
numbers on it while it is in scan mode to turn the various banks on and
off.  What you might try doing is enter in the NOAA weather freq into a
bank, and then turn that bank off, and then try turning the other banks on
and off until you get that weather statio gain without turning that bank
on again.  How about in terms of the beeps and things like that?  How long
have you had this scanner?  I know when I would get a new one for the
first few days I would need sighted help, b fter getting the idea Ifigure
it out pretty much on my own.  When I find a new trunke system I don't
enter in talk groups right away, but I search around to see what it is
like in terms of activity.  The  pages that list talk groups are good, but
a trunked system can have new talk groups added or deleted without notice.
