I just got one of the popular Baofeng HTs and, thanks to Buddy's excellent document, I'm gradually figuring it out. But I do have a couple questions:

1: When I unkey, it takes about a half-second for the transmitter to drop out, even though I've followed buddy's recommendations about what to turn off in the menus. This is not a big deal at all. I was just wondering if it's normal.

2: for a while, whenever I punched in a frequency in frequency mode, I was getting an incorrect frequency. I fixed this by setting the frequency step item to 10 khz. But I'm not sure if this is the correct setting for conventional 2-meter operation in the U.S. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks. Lou WA3MIX
