I've used CW twice in my broadcasting career. The first time was when I was making a radio program about World War II and I was adding sound effects and music to help paint the picture. In one of the sections we had a guy talking about his time in a German POW camp. When he was talking about a secret radio receiver they built I added static and CW sound effects. I had my US callsign calling my New Zealand callsign. The other time was when I was making an intro to an interview program. I put CW in the background underneath The theme music. It said CQ CQ CQ DE and the name of the radio. station. I always wondered if anyone knew what that all said.
