Most modern rigs give you a choice as to whether to tune CW on the upper
sideband or the lower. So CWR means "CW Reverse" or using the non-default
sideband for CW listening.

Subject: New mode

Hi all!

In the course of using these remotes, I've stumbled across a new mode, or at
least one that I'm not familiar with.

If I'm hearing the synthesiser correctly, and I may not be, it sounds like
it's saying CWR.

Whether that is what it's saying or not, what is this mode really, and is
that in fact, what it is saying?

73,
Dave
