Did you even bother to read the email I read? Where did I say I was jealous=
of what he had or has or doesn't have? In fact I said clearly it was his c=
hoice to spend his money as he wishes.=20

If someone works hard their whole adult life, and then wants to put a=20
portion of their life earnings into something they love, IE ham radio, why=
=20
does there have to be a certain group of people who get jealous and whiny=20
and offensive just because the guy has the ability to have a little fun=20
after he retires?
He has no obligation to provide anything to anyone except himself...just=20
because you have a bit of money saved up, doesn't mean you have to share=20
that money with everyone, or somehow give anything back to community or the=
=20
hobby or whatever...that's just silly thinking born of jealousy and=20
bitterness I think.
I have fun with my few hundred dollar station, and I doubt it would be a=20
hundred times the fun if it was a 10 thousand dollar station...that's good=
=20
for me...and I certainly don't get my panties in a knot because someone els=
e=20
wants to spend a couple million on their station. There will always be=20
someone with a bigger dick out there and that doesn't bother me.
When you start spouting about what other people have and what you don't=20
have, you quickly become marked as the fool you are by doing so...

Neil, I'll put the religion aside. Honestly I only answer to my wife. I can=
=3D
see both sides of this issue. Obviously it is his money and he can do what=
=3D
ever he pleases. On the other handthere is a spirit to this, and any other,=
=3D
*hobby* that people respect and look up to. If someone wants to build ther=
=3D
e palace of towers, amplifiers, coax, receivers, etc maybe they can find it=
=3D
in his heart to make it a living museum that can be opened to the public e=
=3D
specially those that are not yet in the hobby.=3D20

Alan, Thanks for the reply
BUT WHY?
I have been in this hobby for over 41 years and can appreciate that it is a=
=3D
technical expensive super station. However with my limited budget and most=
=3D
Amateur Radio ham budgets, we will never compete with this type of station=
=3D
.=3D20
This just makes trying to score big in a contest and or try getting DXCC wo=
=3D
rthless for most Amateurs. Stan is not an Amateur at this point. He brings =
=3D
distaste to the true Amateur spirit. Like others have said he can have spen=
=3D
t the money by starting a grant foundation to which thousands of children c=
=3D
ould receive an education in technology. If he did that the certificate for=
=3D
his efforts would be the best kind. It would come from his heart and our L=
=3D
ord Jesus!
If you agree with my comments just reply and say AMEN. It does not matter =
=3D
if your Lord is not Jesus, it's the point I am trying to get across to Stan=
=3D
!=3D20
Jesus is the person I answer to.
