Steve sent good answer.
My two cents,
Kenwood has designed a heck of a radio. The engineering  choices seems to be
good. Two leads choice was probably dictated by wire size vs. current draw.
The Palstar supply looks ok for fixed location use,  I'm glad I won't have
to lug 19 Kgs around.
Shirley and I use the 100 watt version in car. Have wide ssb filter to
install. Will report after installation and use.
