Hi Eric,

That's great, and I'll revisit and amend the text. I brought in a QSYER to
the UK a couple of years ago, and was very impressed with it. I used it on
a friend's FT-897, and the CW feedback for frequency etc was excellent. I
sent the QSYER onto a blind amateur with a IC-706, and the understanding he
would write a review. I must chase him up, as I never heard any more
<smile>.

Would you mind if I added some of your comments to the end of the review?

Best wishes, Kelvin Marsh - M0AID

Hi Kelvin,
I was just on y our very fine web site.

I have to make one correction however.

In the review of the Icom IC-7703 Plus there was a reference to the radio
not working with a keypad.

This is not correct.

The radio will work with the John Hansen Millenium qsyer keypad.

This keypad will work with Icom radios and Yaesu radios.

I own an Icom 703 and use this keypad with it.

I also own a Yaesu FT817ND and the keypad will work with this radio as well.

One has to order the keypad with either a cable that will work with the Icom
radios or the Yaesu radios.

In the case of Yaesu radios it will work with the FT817ND the FT857d and the
FT897D

These keypads give bare access to the Yaesu radios.

You can switch modes and read out the frequency in CW.

I had to have a sighted ham friend set the menus on the Yaesu for me.

Of course there is no speech available on the Icom 703 menus either.

My main low band rig is a Kenwood TS480sat.

Thank goodness for its level of accessibility.

Happy new year,

73,
