I don't know what is out there these days, I'd guess it would be more 
difficult as is all digital.  Before I had the ifr 1200, I had a wavetech 
3000 which had lever switches to set freq and pl tone.  When I was doing 
commercial stuff I really used the ifr.  I some times thought of selling 
it, but I know if I ever did, the money would be gone and I'd never have 
the dough to replace it.
