Jeez. Didn't anyone listen to the Southern White Racists and Biggots
Net on 3853? (My name for it) In the late '80's, anyway. Lots of guys
with lots of power, and God help you if you got anywhere more than 3
KC either side of them. Yep. Lots of power and lots of automatic
ID'ers that went off every 10 minutes all at once. I wonder if any of
those guys actually remembered their own calls? I note that at least
a couple of them lapsed, but a couple are still listed as active.
Let's see. There was KD5LJ (who provided the automatic ID'ers and
talked really, really slow!), KG5OL, KD5OY, KG5OX, KA5JDW, KA5WBV,
AF5C, I think I even heard KD5BZ there once. A few others, but those
were the mail guys. Man but were they ever loud, too. And what about
the guys just up from them on 3858?
