Yesterday, I got my hands on the Wouxun KG-UV920, 50 watt 2
meter/70 CM mobile.

As may have been said on this list, but has been said
privately to me, it has some voice feedback, but nowhere
near that of the Wouxun hand held rigs.

Far too many of the menus, including the transmit PL tone
menu, do not identify themselves.

That said, menus can be accessed directly by numbers from
the keypad on the microphone, and the PL tone set works like
it does in the hand helds once you are in that menu.

But, you have a bunch of menu numbers to remember in order
to get into the item you want to set or change.

The memory channel speaks like it does in the hand helds,
giving only the channel number, with no frequency
announcement.

If the menus talked as well as they do in the Wouxun hand
helds, this radio would have very likely followed me home.
At $270, it is a good deal for a duel band rig for those
hams who don't need the menus to be spoken.
