There isn't that much difference between 6 and 8 ohm nominal impedence.  The 
only caveat here is if you plan to run them in parallel, in which case, just 
make sure 3 ohms isn't putting too much demand on your Sherwood's amplifier 
section.

    Well I hope I did the right thing, ordered a Sherwood stereo receiver.
Quewastion I ahve is, I have 2 pairs of speakers which are 6 ohms.  Should I
bother with them, get matching transformers, or look for 8 ohm speakers?
