That's another problem with digital SSB. It is very hard to toon in unless
you have the exact frequency. The software will give a sighted user a
waterfall like display to help in tuning, but it isn't much help for us.
If you have the correct frequency, that seems to work well as long as the
other stations have a very good, noise free, fade free and multipath free
signal.

Hi Bob,
I assume that the Dv2 software is speech-friendly. This brings up another
question, how critical was tuning when you were attempting to do digital on
hf. Was it a matter of tuning across a signal till things locked and audio
was decoded or did you know the frequency in advance and just go there and
the system locked on to the digital signal in question.
