I've been looking around and it looks like the original OPC-646 cable sold
for $135 <ouch>.  I thought I might find an OEM version for less, but I
haven't found an OEM version or even a do-it-yourself version.  I found
references to a DYI cable but the link is no good.

They had it last time I looked at RT systems. hmmm, I don't know if Icom
offered/offers it or not.
