Hi Jim: 

From my research into verticals the past year, allot recommend to keep your vert at least 20 feet from metallic structures. I would also include a metal overhead wiring and metal fencing in that catagory. 
That said, you have to go with what you got. Not everyone has a yard big enough to keep a vert a hundred feet away from metallic structures and have room for 60 radials at 66 feet long. Lol 
Considering you got it for free, put it up, put down a couple of radials and see what happens. You might be pleasantly surprised. You could look at a roof mount option too. 
I'm hoping to put up my Zero Five vert this weekend.
