HF conditions have been better in the past few days. Today 15 meters is open
to Europe, and the RTTY section of the band is full of signals. Chinese
broadcast stations were coming through quite loud on the 15 and 13 MHz bands
less than an hour ago. When it was broadcasting to North America last night,
Radio Thailand was quite loud on 15600. Solar flux index has gone up to 120
yesterday, and the K index is 1. So we won't see much except South America
on 10 meters, but 15 meters and lower should be good this weekend and
probably beyond.
As far as the BWCWN is concerned, it is probably not going to be too easy,
because much of the time there are RTTY stations on 20 from 14075 up through
14120. The CQ worldwide RTTY contest is this weekend. Expect a lot of QRM on
14109 today, even though the conditions are better than they have been for a
while.
