Hi Jim,

MFJ does have quality control problems, but if you get one that is in
good working order you will have a great tuner. MFJ does stand
behind their units if you find a problem under warranty. I had no
problem with mine. If you are running a Kenwood and have the right
cable, the antenna button on the Kenwood will cause the power to drop
while tuning and tune the MFJ to resonance. A button on the MFJ
allows you to switch between two antennas, so if your transceiver has
two antenna jacks you would only use the one that runs to the
tuner. The manual is available recorded if you would like to read
more detail about it. If you have specific questions, I'll try to
answer them.
