The voice recognition doesn't really work in the later versions of freedom
box. But the program has two separate components. 1. System access. This
is a stand alone screen reader. 2. Freedom box network. This is like AOL
for Blind folks and has wonderful content up there. The yearly membership
gives you access to the network, but system access is a straight purchase.
It works with most aps with out tinkering, and their is not a way to do much
tinkering with it. If you like programming scripts, or making auto
triggering speak windows, this isn't for you. If you like running your
applications, it's surprisingly affordable easy to use, and effective.
