Hi John, My TMV7A does the same thing. I can sit here and a beep is spoken
by the radio and either the squelch will go to open or the band will
suddenly change. Not sure where it is hearing the DTMF tone from. Wonder
if their is a setting to turn off the DTMF function. Gary KB2YAA

Hi all, I have the TMV7A and I had the keypad set to enter frequencies,
but unfortunatly the mic is hot all of the time, so if it hears any dtmf
tones, it will cause the radio to do something. Is the TMV71 the same
way?
