Typical panic reaction from those who don't understand it!

The same thing happened with Babbage's adding machine, mirrors, and many
more things which later became accepted widely.  Mind you, having said that,
there is still a flat earth society!!!

I remember in the 1970's learning that all the planets would be in a line in
1982.  There were those who predicted earthquakes and other disasters on
Earth.  What happened when this event occurred?  Nothing.  So I don't think
anything will happen with the Sun, other than the magnetic field being
reversed.  If it does, and the Earth is doomed, there's nothing we can do
about it, so there's no need to worry.
