perhaps you've cleared this up by now, and if so just let us know.
However, just to be clear, you say that you can hear the repeater just fine
on the puxing radio, but when you transmit, you are not receiving the
repeater hang tail or the curtesy tone?
Most of these chinese radios have a repeater tail defeat option along with a
couple other options to prevent you from hearing a squelch burst or a
repeater tail...for commercial applications.
If these options have somehow been turned on, you will not hear the repeater
tail or curtesy/go ahead tone when you release the PTT...the radio
automatically mutes it...especially true if the repeater has a fairly short
carrier hang time or tail.
Some commercial radios are designed to turn off the ctcss rx tone for a
short period of time after the PTT is released in order to prevent the user
from hearing a repeater tail...I think it has to do with systems that are
set up with multiple tones for multiple groups of users.
Anyway, check into this.
It can't be a ctcss issue if you are hearing the repeater normally when
there is regular traffic on it.
Another trick some commercial rigs have is a PTT delay which keeps the radio
in transmit for a short period of time after you release the PTT, but
disables the tx tone so it lets the repeater go, but the radio is still
keyed up which would also prevent you from hearing the go ahead tone and
repeater tail if it's fairly short.
The puxing is primarily a commercially designed radio, so it likely has all
these options and any one or combination of options may be at fault here.

The radios do hear each other. The problem is that when I let go of the =
PTT button on the Puxing I get no courtesy tone or sound of the repeater =
dropping, when in reality the transmission went through perfectly fine =
as I heard it 100 percent on my other radio.
