Hi Gang,

Butch in regard to the half wave dipole with the coil on the bottom, a
friend had an antenna constructed that way to use on his boat for accessing
his 220MHZ repeater.  The boat had a minimum of metallic parts and the
antenna performed well mounted on a metal bracket.
