Hello fellow vets, family and friends of vets.

Several years back (before the computer age, early seventies) I was trying
to get my disability rating upgraded and other VA benefits for my family.
It came down to the point when all I had left was to "sue". Then I found
out that we can not "sue" the VA because of a very old law that states the
maximum fee an attorney can charge a vet is $10. Of course, no attorney
will work for that fee so "no lawsuit". Some of us tried to get this law
changed, with no results. I do not know if it is still in effect, I assume
it is.

WE NEED TO GET IT CHANGED SO VETS WILL HAVE A FAIR CHANCE AGAINST THE VA.

BTW. Back then I did something DIFFERENT, I took the VA to Small Claims
Court, but lost again because there is a law that says the federal agencies
can not be taken to small claims and actions must be in federal court.
Sneaky, arn't they. grin
