>The Tampa Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), has had a Rear Window
Captioning and DVS Theatrical installation in its Dome IMAX theater for
many months. Tuesday, January 1, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is being reissued by
Buena Vista Pictures exclusively in giant screen theaters for its tenth
anniversary, and will play in the MOSI Dome IMAX with closed captions and
descriptions for the duration of its run. The MOSI IMAX has had an
extensive outreach campaign since RWC and DVST debuted, which ensures many
loyal description and captions fans, their friends and families. We're
grateful to the theater staff and to the folks at Buena Vista for sharing
this much-loved film with all audiences in the Tampa area. This theater
has been added to the list of locations below, and showtimes and ticket
purchasing information are available now.

>DID YOU SEE HARRY POTTER, DID YOU SEE MONSTERS, INC, how about ALI when it
debuts?
>Let us know... We are eager to hear and pass along even more feedback from
movie fans who enjoy description and closed captioning (it really makes a
difference, read on). HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE (or HARRY
POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE if you hail from Canada) was the first
Warner Bros. film to be released with descriptions for its debut. ALI,
from Sony Pictures, is the seventeenth film captioned and described from
that studio. We want to make it clear to this studios and others that
folks out there appreciate the access features and want to see more. Send
us a note, tell us what you think and we'll make sure to get it to the
Hollywood studios... so the films will keep coming and so more theater
chains will be convinced to make their facilities accessible to all
audiences! Send comments to [log in to unmask], or call me at 617
300-3700 v, -2489 TTY (postal address at the end of this e-mail).
>
>A BIG THANKS to all those parents, kids, teachers and just plain, average
movie fans out there for taking a moment to share your thoughts about
enjoying access to first-run feature films. The text of your messages has
been passed along, and will continue to be passed along to theater chains
and movie studios.
>
>The number one question we are asked: What can I do to get closed
captioned and described films closer to my home? We assembled a list of
headquarters of major theater chains-- let them know you're eager to see
accessible films, eat their popcorn and be a regular customer. The link to
the list of chains is http://ncam.wgbh.org/mopix/chains.html.
