Modern information technology makes it possible for schools and colleges to
provides students with disabilities, as never before, with the most level
learning space in history opening doors of opportunity for their full
participation in society. EASI's Certificate in Accessible Information
Technology offers an array of 9, month-long, interactive, online courses
providing the skills and know-how to create institution-wide, accessible
computer and information technology systems. These courses are designed
for the faculty, instructional designers, information technologists,
computer staff, librarians, student support staff, and administrators
responsible for providing and using educational technology. Digitized
information is display-independent and can be used in ways that include
students with disabilities as equals or used in ways that close the door to
their full participation in learning.

The 9 courses are:

Advanced Barrier-free Web Design

Five of these courses will earn the Certificate in Accessible Information
Technology provided by EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information) in
partnership with the University of Southern Maine. (The fifth course will
receive a 50% discount.
