I think that this kind of feedback is very important. We can do better,
much better.  A colleague who attended the ALA conference writes:

As for the conference:

The keynote event was also on the stage.  Most of the people receiving
lifetime achievement awards were older and needed to be assisted.  It was
also awkward to have them stand for the duration while they read the
acknowledgements.

There were major problems on the first day and the escalators did not work.
I was traveling to a meeting with a woman in a wheelchair.  She had
mentioned that people were not being polite in terms of giving her priority
for the elevators.  The convention center is very spread out and in
retrospect many of the facilities were not very accessible.
