Susan,
Have you tried to contact anyone in the Province of Ontario, government
site?
I am sure you can find something there. I am in Toronto and if I can be of
any assistance do not hesitate to write to me. You could even try and call
one of the stores that sells wheelchairs and other items for the disabled
because they deal with the people in the Province with financial assistance,
ADP. Those people are usually registered nurses who assess people with
their needs for things such as wheelchairs and then give the go-a-head to
fund some parts of a wheelchair, walker and so on. They MUST have some
contacts on this! There is also Vocational Rehabilitation. I would find
out more from them as when I went to college they supplied me with pretty
much everything I need to complete my education since they funded it. You
could try that also. Well there are some ideas anyway!

Best regards,
Ann Wisdom

Subject: attendant care in post secondary

Can anyone reference for me any institutional best practices that may
provide students with physical disabilities the attendant care they need
such as personal grooming, toileting, feeding assistance etc while at
school? I am particularly interested in the funding source, education?
health? voc rehab?
thank you!
