EASI's Weekly Webcast http://www.rit.edu/~easi is with Joseph J. Lazzaro a
science fiction writer, author of adaptive tech books published by ALA and
an adaptive technology specialist in Mass who is joining EASI's workshop
instructor team. Go to the EASI home page, select either "site map" or
"webcasts".

Joe is a warm and personable author of several science fiction stories and
books on adaptive technology. Joe shares his own experiences of living and
being creative and productive while transcending a disability. For Joe,
like many, what is interesting is his talents and his multiple uses of
them. EASI is proud to have him join us, and Joe will be participating in
the online workshop on adapting information technology starting in
February. The syllabus and registration is available at
http://www.rit.edu/~easi/workshop.htm

The workshop covers the law, gives an overview of technologies, explains
how an institution can integrate them into its information technology
systems to create a level playingfield for its members with disabilities.
Give serious thought to joining Joe and us next month.

We are thankful to the American Library Association for publishing Joe's
books on adaptive technology and for its providing several other books to
help libraries better serve this special population.
