I just downloaded the demo for JAWS.  I find it to be very counterintuitive.
I can't even get it to start reading page even though I use the key
combination suggested in the help files (insert and down arrow or
control,insert,down arrow).  I just uninstalled it and will reinstall.  I am
testing it on a laptop without a numeric keypad.  I tested the IBM speaking
browser before and it worked without any special key strokes.
