Learn online starting Feb. 16
Self-paced but planned for 6 weeks more or less
Combines lessons on the web with e-mail listserv to facilitate interaction
with instructors and fellow learners
EASI-WEB is a workshop to show how to design web pages that maintain
attractiveness but which do not create barriers to users with disabilities.
Graphics, icons, animation and more can be used to enhance pages, but
without thought and planning, they can prevent thousands of useers from
accessing your information. Users with disabilities do cruise the internet
as a way to access information they could never access previously. If you
think they are not hitting your pages, think again! But, do your pages
welcome everyone?

Schools and colleges are mandated to make all their programs and
information available to students with disabilities, but many do not think
about its implications for web pages. In reality, it is the easiest and
least expensive to make your print materials available for the so-called
print disabled.
EASI is a non-profit part of the TLT Group, the teaching, Learning and
Technology affiliate of the American Association for Higher Education.
