Hi,

Games for the Blind has what they say is accessible chat software that is
usable with a screen reader; specifically, they say it works with JAWS. I
downloaded it, but I have not tried it yet. Someone told me it does not
work too well, but I don't know.

Thanks! There's another piece of the puzzle!

Hi,

One of the big issues surrounding chats is the accessibility of the
software itself. A lot of it doesn't work well with screen readers,
especially that which is found on the web which is often done in Java or
some other plugin.
