EASI's Roundtable Weekly Broadcast

The Roundtable will be posted tonight, Thursday, at 9 Eastern, 8
Central, 7 Mountain and 6 Pacific times. It will be moved to the
archives by the end of the week.

This week:

Steve Gilbert of the Teaching, Learning and Technology Group and
Casey Green who rungs the Campus Computing Survey will be broadcast
Tonight. They will discuss current trends in the uses of educational
technology in higher education

The discussion looks at the impact of these new technologies on teachers
and students. They express concern about the apparent failure of this
technology to reduce the gap between minorities and majority group
learners. Many believe the potential for reducing the gap is there, but
our society has not yet made a commitment to do that.

Next Thursday Norman Coombs and Dick Banks from EASI will be joined by
Dr. Mike Wald from England to discuss the implications for students
with disabilities.

The roundtable is linked from EASI's web page:
