Hi Tanya,

I'm lucky in that the sites I usually go to don't have many pop-up ads, but
such ads can certainly be annoying.  I use JAWS, and at least when a new
window opens the program usually says "New browser window" so often I'll
have a good idea what's going on and can hit Control-F4 to close the
unwanted window without too much confusion being caused.  But there's no
question that pop-up ads can be annoying and confusing.
