EASI Webcast: Accessibility in a Flash!!!
Macromedia is one of the software companies working steadily towards
increasing accessibility to information technology and to Internet
applications for users with disabilities. This includes its push to create
tools that will enable creators to design flash applications that are
accessible.

Listen to the EASI webcast at: http://www.rit.edu/~easi

Bob Reagan, Senior Product Manager for accessibility at Macromedia, talks
to us about Macromedia's efforts in making Flash content accessible. This
is the first of a two part series that examines an introductory level of
Flash accessibility. How to incorporate the ALT attribute into Flash
movies, along with captioning of Flash are discussed. Keep your ear tuned
to the Internet for part two following within a couple weeks. EASI wants
to express its appreciation for what Bob and Macromedia are doing. Flash
accessibility is being integrated into the relevant online EASI courses and
is part of its Certificate in Accessible Information Technology. Courses
include:
Beginner Barrier-free Web Accessibility Design
Advanced Barrier-free Web Accessibility Design
