April online courses on accessible Web design by EASI
There are two month-long, instructor-led courses designed for people who
are not professional Web creators and who want a presentation explaining
accessibility in non-technical language. April courses commence on April
7. EASI has provided online courses to over 5,000 people in more than
three dozen countries. EASI strives to remove the jargon and mystery from
the process. Courses are:
Beginner Barrier-free Web Design <http://easi.cc/workshops/easiweb.htm>
Advanced Barrier-free Web Design <http://easi.cc/workshops/advwbsyl.htm>

All EASI courses are taught entirely online. Course content is available
on the Web. EASI courses encourage interaction between instructor and
student and among the students. More is learned from sharing together than
from just a one-way monologue by the instructor. All courses integrate
multimedia demos to simulate the experience of a face-to-face situation.
While there will be 2-3 optional opportunities for a synchronous (real
time) voice chat, the basic material is available any time from anywhere.
It permits everyone to fit study into an already-busy schedule. We
normally deliver 2 lessons per week, people may still work at their own
pace. However, discussion among class members works best when everyone is
more or less at the same point.
