Dear Everyone:

I would like to see the focus (please) on diversity and
accessibility-related materials and materials concerning people with
accessibility needs - a/k/a EVERYONE, ALL OF US:

1. The A.D.A. is just one of a number of U.S.-only federal laws that
applies to people with accessibility needs,

2. The A.D.A. applies only to the U.S.and federally;

3. The current global aging crisis (that's us too);

4. The current growing number of veterans with accessibility needs - from
the Iraq/Afghanistan war (many more military personnel arae surviving their
[devastating] injuries) - see, for instance, USA Today lead
story-yesterday-October 19, 2005;

5. Global wars, poverty, hunger, devastation

6. Natural disasters such as Katrina, etc.

7. Lack of universal health care (U.S.)

ETC.

Accessibility is an EVERYBODY, EVERY LIBRARY PATRON and STAFF MEMBER (ALL
library staff, us too) issue.
