The California Virtual Campus (CVC) was established in July 1999, to
support the development and delivery of online learning in higher
education
throughout the state of California.

The five regional and statewide CVC centers assist faculty, staff,
administration, and institutions in the development of online courses,
programs, policies and planning, focusing on the particular needs of
California community colleges.

CVC also hosts and maintains an online catalog of distance programs and
courses at <www.cvc.edu>. The catalog currently lists more than 4,100
courses offered by regionally-accredited California colleges and
universities.
