ALA ASCLA Century Scholarship Recruitment Time for 2002 is here!

Applications for the independently-funded American Library Association [ALA]
ASCLA Division Century Scholarship Diversity Initiative, part of the ALA
Scholarship Program, are due at ALA by Friday, March 1, 2002.

We celebrate and congratulate our two outstanding Century Scholars, Rebecca Van
Scyoc (our #1 Century Scholar, 2000), studying at the University of Illinois in
the award-winning LEEP Program, and our 2001 winner, Century Scholar Simon
Healey, graduating this week from the University of Pittsburgh.

To carry on this Century tradition of excellence, your superb advocacy and
recruitment skills are needed to find our 2002 Century Scholarship applicants
and help ensure applicants' submission of the necessary documents in a timely
way -- by Friday, March 1, 2002.

This holiday season and upcoming new year, may we:

* Celebrate Accessibility and Equity of Access for All.

* Celebrate the Universal Diversity of Doing Things Differently.

* Celebrate a Century that Celebrates Diversity.

* Recruit for the ALA ASCLA Century Scholarship Diversity Initiative.
