  The Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure (GPII) is a new approach to 
accessibility, providing a way for accessibility tools, utilities,

and features to be built into the Internet itself. This "AT in the Cloud" 
idea is already under development in Europe, Canada, and the

3 Free Webinar: Practical comparison of screen readers, using scenario 
based user testing.

  We have yet to find a way to slap a grade on happiness, but in the summer 
of 2010 we created a set of practical test cases across

7 categories, to help us better match screen readers to our users. The 
methodology allows us to meaningfully test and compare

screen readers as diverse as:
•Jaws for Windows,
•NVDA,
•Orca,
•Voiceover.

EASI 4-part Fee-based Series on Creating Accessible PDF

This series will cover both taking simple Word or scanned documents into 
PDF and using Acrobat to create more complex PDF.

Finally, EASI's October month-long course is:
Barrier-free Web Design. It is taught asynchronously using Blackboard. You 
can work at your own pace and time.

Members get a discount of $70. Normal registration is $350 and members are 
$280.

Web pages can be created using Universal Design principles permitting Their 
use by people with different browsers, different

connection speeds, mobile phones, tablets, etc, and by people with 
disabilities using Adaptive computer technology. They can also

be created in ways that Exclude many of the above users. Barrier-free Web 
Design will prepare you to create web pages that are

visually appealing and still permit full access by users with various 
technologies and by those with disabilities. You will be able to look

at some of the best webinars that EASI has given by experts related to the 
topics. Hands on activities are also included to those

who consider them useful, but they are not mandatory to completing the course.
