Who Trains Staff on Helping Users With Disabilities?

Libraries are increasingly having special computer hardware and software to
enable customers with disabilities to use the library.  For those of us
with disabilities, this is exciting.  But, most library users will need
some help to begin to use these special tools you are providing.  No
sooner, do you have someone trained to provide support than they get a
promotion or move elsewhere.  EASI: Equal Access to Software and
Information has a month-long, instructor-led, interactive, online course,
Train the Trainer,  which provide such training.  The course also provides
a number of documents and tip sheets to support you whenever a customer
needing help arrives at your library.  The next presentation begins April 5.

The course instructor, Joseph Lazzaro, is the author of an ALA-published
book, Adaptive Technology for Work and Learning Environments.  You can see
