Hello,

Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional Solutions 6.1 was just released and it
is a great product. I used this version with a student last month who has
CP and is unable to utilize his hands for typing or mousing. After several
hours of training, he was surfing the web and returning e-mails. I use it
on a regular basis and can "speak" greater than 100 wpm with excellent
recognition.

One word of caution, there is typically a significant different between the
"off the shelf" versions such as Dragon Preferred and Standard and the
Professional Version. You have the buy the Pro version from a Certified
reseller and training is recommended in order to achieve a higher level of
success. The recognition is much better than the other versions. Also make
sure that you have plenty of speed and memory on your PC.

Mr. Banks is right in that you need to committ to, and work with it for 3-4
weeks to get the recognition where you want it to be. The speech
recognition accuracy gets better IF you make corrections utilizing the
correction function in the software instead of your keyboard. Accuracy is
typically 90% after a few hours use and 95-98% after a month or so of use.

For additional information, go to www.hightechrehab.com

Good luck,

Jeff
