Are you using multimedia on the Internet? Do you want to use multimedia in
your courses? Do you have faculty wanting to use multimedia but you don't
know how to make it fully accessible?
EASI's new online workshop, Accessible Internet Multimedia Production, is
for you!

This month-long course starts Dec. 3, taught entirely online. You can take
it from anywhere anytime: http://easi.cc/workshop.htm

Educational and other information providers on the Internet are
increasingly using multimedia as a means to disseminate information.
Multimedia poses special problems but also unique opportunities for
reaching people with disabilities. Providing transcriptions, captions and
descriptive video synchronized with the media is a real challenge. This
course will give step-by-step instruction in how and when to provide
transcriptions and synchronized captions. This course will be good for web
masters, information technologists, instructional technologists, disabled
student staff, librarians and more. (This course is optional for the
EASI/USM certificate in Accessible Information Technology. You can also
earn 3 CEU's for the course.)

There are some assignments, which require purchased software. The lessons
outline below clearly indicates which lessons will require purchased
software. Here is a list of programs used in the course. Prices will be
noted. The free versions of the creation software will allow limited
production of presentations. It should be understood that prospective
participants can take this course without doing any of the assignments or
creating any media.
