The first thing to find out is if JAWS is operational on your machine.
Try running Wordpad, typing a couple lines of text and then using the up
and down arrows to see if you hear those lines.

In outlook, if you arrow up and down a message list do you hear the items
read?

The best thing to do might be to contact Freedom Scientific tech support
if things don't seem to be working.

Otherwise I'd be happy to give you a few pointers off list if that would
help.
