Two seminars on Children and Violence, sponsored by the Dane
County Family Impact Advisory Committee, the Dane County
Department of Human Services and others will be held in Madison

On April 9, the seminar - Children and Violence: focus on community

on the health of our communities. Dr. Beverly Coleman-Miller, M.D.,
currently a visiting scholar at Harvard, and a leading authority on
youth violence and public health will be the keynote speaker. The
cost of the seminar is $35, inlcuding lunch.

The April 10th seminar - Children and Violence:report to policy
makers - is open to elected officials and their policy staff.
Researchers and practitioners will present and discuss models for
preventing and responding to childhood violence. (There is no charge
for this seminar -- and no lunch.)
