Subject: Youth participants needed for a neuroscience research study

Dear UW Faculty and Staff,

We are looking for families with children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old to participate in a research study. You are receiving this email because you are a faculty member or employee at UW-Madison. Your email address was obtained from the UW-Madison Office of Human Resources.

This study will develop a video game that will help improve treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It involves 2-3 research visits at the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMRII) that last no more than two hours and we provide free parking. Children who participate will perform some basic cognitive tasks in front of a computer screen and you will fill out some questionnaires about your child's mental health and behavior. Follow up visits will involve your child playing a specially designed computer game. This study does not involve any radiation, medications, or needles. Your child will earn up to $25 per research visit.

To be able to take part in this study, your child must be 8-12 years old and have no current or past history of psychiatric illness, no history of mental health counseling, and must not wear glasses.

To find out more information, visit our website at http://adhdvideogame.neuro.wisc.edu. If you are interested in participating or have any questions about the study, please email [log in to unmask] or call 608-265-6711. Feel free to forward this message to anyone you know who may be interested!

This research has been approved by the University of Wisconsin IRB and is part of the research program under the direction of Dr. Luis Populin.
