Dear Nathaniel:

The Mayor created the Task Force on Race Relations precisely out of recognition that significant race relations problems exists in our community, including racial profiling. The City of Madison is not excepted from that assessment. The important issue is that racial profiling is neither the policy nor the practice of City government and will absolutely not be tolerated.

Surely the remnants of old discriminatory traditions and practices will rear their ugly heads from time to time. Please be assured that Mayor Bauman is determined to take immediate action, as she did during this recent incident, to ensure their eradication.

Thanks.

My God, Mayor Bauman has no conscience, no soul.

Madison's Chief of Police is an African American. To his credit, he
admitted in a Madison Times Newspaper article that racial profiling does
exist in Madison, Wisconsin.

However, at a listening session, Mayor Bauman pronounced that racial
profiling does not exist in Madison, Wisconsin (aka liberal US of A). And,
the "Leaders"-of-Color did not defend People-of-Color.

At the meeting, Kirbie Mack, an African American, who is the Director of
the Affirmative Action Department of the City of Madison and who is also
the President of the Madison branch NAACP, said nothing.

At the meeting, Anthony Brown, an African American, who is the Executive
Director of the Equal Opportunity Commission of the City of Madison, said
nothing.

At the meeting, Enis Ragland, an African American, who is the Chief of
Staff to Mayor Bauman, said nothing.

At the meeting, Peter Munoz, a Latino, who is the Assistant to the Mayor
Bauman, said nothing. And now, Peter is promulgating Bauman's press
release that Madison is a racial profiling free zone. So Peter, respond to
this question, do you agree with Mayor Bauman that racial profiling doesn't
exit in Madison, Wisconsin?
