Dane Dances is the result of recommendations by the Mayor's Task Force on Race Relations. This free-of-charge event provides a wonderful opportunity for diverse folks to joyously come together to dance, enjoy music and participate in activities. Dane Dances will be held at the beautiful lakefront Monona Terrace Rooftop, and at Alliant Energy Center (Expo).
We encourage you to bring family and friends and have a great time. We look forward to seeing you there!

All-Dane County Free Dance Party!
GET UP.GET DOWN.GET TOGETHER! is an all-Dane County dance event featuring great music, free dance lessons, concessions, and a chance to meet with neighbors and friends. The event is hosted by Madison Mayor Sue Bauman, County Executive Kathleen Falk, and Sun Prairie Mayor Jo Ann Orfan. Performances will range in music and dance style. The dances will occur in a three-part series and will feature:
* Clyde Stubblefield-Swing/Blues/Rock * Friday - August 4, 2000 at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center (Rooftop), One John Nolen Drive, Madison from 5:30pm-9pm
* Madisalsa-Salsa/Jazz * Friday, August 11, 2000 at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center (Rooftop), One John Nolen Drive, Madison from 5:30pm-9pm
* Natty Nation-Reggae/World Beat * Friday, August 18, 2000 at Alliant Energy Center (Expo), Madison from 5:30pm-9pm
This event creates a comfortable community atmosphere for people to meet for music and activities, free of charge, at the beautiful lakefront Monona Terrace Rooftop. Provides a safe, smoke-free location for all aged adults to gather and celebrate music, dance, and summer in Dane County. This event is for anyone who enjoys great music and loves to dance!
