Thanks for the notice, Adelaide. For what it is worth, a comment:
increasingly, AAM acts as if it were a subsidiary (or a branch, or a
chapter) of other associations and groups. It happened with the picnic this
summer, now with a scheduled general meeting. Once again, I am tempted to
ask the misunderstood question I asked in the summer: Who speaks for [i.e.,
in the interest of] AAM?
