My Fellow Africans,
You are cordially invited to join the Wisconsin community
(WLYA) on July 21th, 2012 as we celebrate our country’s (Liberia)
165th Independence Day.
This event consist of both in/outdoor activities. We highly
encourage parents to bring their kids out as there will be lots of
activities for the kids, including face painting, stories telling and
other activities.
As part of this merriment, we also intend to host a soccer
tournament among four teams. (Chicago Lone star, Ghana Black Star of
Madison, Exodus FC of North Dakota and Wisconsin Liberian Men FC/
Representing Madison Lone Star). Not forgetting the kick ball game
between the old and young timers. These exciting activities starts at
10am Central Standard time, at Reindahl (Amund) Park. Address: 1818
Portage Rd, Madison WI 53717. Food and drinks at the park will be
provided free of charge.
In addition to the above activities, there will also be a Dance
starting at 8PM, at Essex Square Shopping Center Thierer Road Madison
WI, 53717. Tickets are available for purchase at $5.00 and will also be
available at the door for $10.00. Drinks will be available at very
reasonable prices. Come and help celebrate mama Liberia’s birthday..
